Upgrading question.

I currently have an ATI Radeon Graphics Processor (Ox5B60)...which, to be honest, sucks. I want to upgrade this to something more powerful, but something that won't be extremely expensive. What should I buy/how does this work? I've never upgraded video cards before. Upgrading question.
Go into ''Run'' type ''dxdiag'' and tell us what it says under ''Display''.Upgrading question.
It depends. You got to tell us the following...1. What is your full computer specs (CPU/RAM/Power Supply)
2. What interface does your system use (AGP/PCI-E)
3. How much you're willing to spend

PCI-E or AGP,and how many amps on the 12V rail does it have?
How would I locate that information? I can't see that under display.
you download this program called cpu-Z that tells you every compent in your computer just click this link and then under where it says download latest version you click it,dowload it then run it, http://www.cpuid.com/cpuz.php after you run it then find out what your motherboard is and then tell us and it might actually tell you if you have a agp or pci xpress slot
Radeon X300/X500 SeriesIntel (R) Pentium (R) D CUP 2.80 GHz (2 CPUs)
What's the mainboard? Or pop open the case and see if you have an AGP slot or PCI-E.
I tried to use the program, but it's not quite working. I'm a noob when it comes to computers (absolutely don't know what to do with them other than play games, so I pay for every minor problem to be corrected). I have absolutely no idea how to find that information, and I don't understand any of the ''computer terms''.
Check your mainboard with the CPU-Z and tell us the model, we will find if it is pci-e or agp.
I'm not exactly sure how it works...nothing about installation, only ''unzipping files''? The only part of my computer I want to upgrade is the video card.
Right click and unzip it, then click on the cpuz.exe.
What am I right clicking on? If it's the program, I'm not sure how to work it. I'm aware that I'm a tech noob.
On the website click under Download Latest Version, ''Cpu-z 1.40.5''. Save to disk, it will be a zip file, so you extract it on the desktop. Then you can run the program from there. Go under the tab for ''Mainboard'' and tell us what model it is.
0HJ054
i found it, it has pci-express and its from dell :owell whats your budget for video card?
*bump, because i cant see my other post*
Well, now that you know my specs, how much would a half-decent card cost to boost performance for some games?
How much money, what resolution and what games do you play?
