Vista Vs. XP

only vote if u have tried both operating systems which do u prefer?Vista Vs. XP
Got vista on my new computer for $15 more than a new copy of xp. So far no complaints, everything looks pretty and runs smooth. Currently have XP installed on all of my other computers though (too expensive to upgrade everything). Vista Vs. XP
bump
well im using xp right now, but im upgrading my pc and will be getting vista. I don't see why I would put xp back on when I will need vista in a year or two anyway.
Vista if you are buying a new computer with a next gen video card, otherwise, I don't suggest it yet.
Vista, games run great, I have no complaints.
XP ftw, but in a year maybe VISTA will overtake, currently Vista has low compatibility and too many specific programs that will only run on vista, if only XP looked exactly like vista but remaining with same layout, VISTA looks soooo nice....yes i tried both and I was considering to stay with Vista until I came across more incompatibility and that was the final straw for me, so I'm staying with XP until things get sorted out.....might I add, I used VISTA Ultimate and I would not buy it, definately not worth paying for, infact I wouldnt pay for any OS! Im happy with XP right now and will remain that way for some time even with my non-paid VISTA Ultimate
wow i thought xp would bbe winning
I use both Vista and XP with Linux on a triple boot.

Vista if you have at least 1.5gb of ram...
I have vista and none of my games work, and FORGET about freeware games.
Vista is quite nice to use - it looks great, however I don't like how it tries to be way too simplified with the wizards and such - I still want to change settings manually, one annoyance is how the wireless settings are arranged now through the Network Centre. Otherwise, I will most likely dual boot XP and Vista, and if any time, Linux as well.
For some reason I am not having that much problems with vista but I just dont like it, I prefer XP because programs seem to run faster for some reason.
i have vista and xp but i use xp 80% of the time because i'm too lazy to reinstall everything on vista. but i have problem with vista. my vista actually boots up faster than my xp

Kaspersky/Ad-watch/Win Patrol/UnHackMe
I'm totally mixed on this one, I think that XP right now is a much more full OS, there are a couple of annoyances that can get really bad if they matter to you in Vista (not that the same isn't true about XP but to a lesser degree). But at the same time I don't think that you should be paying as much money as they want for a copy of XP at the moment. So if you really need to buy it go get Vista but right now XP is the one you want to use.
XP for me

Vista just boots quick on a computer that can handle it.
