I need HELP with my laptop and HDTV's resolution.

My laptop's maximum resolution is 1280 x 800, but has HD-DVD. Say if I connect it to a 1080p TV with HDMI to HDMI cable; will the display on the laptop take up the entire display on the TV(nothing cut out on the TV) and have perfect 1080p quality? Or is it because of my laptop that the resolution can't go so high on the TV and it won't look how I want it to?I need HELP with my laptop and HDTV's resolution.
Can the DVD drive handle 1080p if the laptop is only 1280 x 800?I need HELP with my laptop and HDTV's resolution.
yes, you can connect your laptop to a 1080p TV with the full resolution, however im not sure if your laptop would fully like pllaying videos at 1080p. If it has a built in HD-DVD player, then perhaps it will do it ok. Buy a DVI cable (if your laptop supports it, connect it to the tv and find out) and a DVI/HDMI adaptor
I use HDMI to HDMI, and I also have a HDMI to DVI if I need to use one. Well I can always go with Blu-Ray and forget HD-DVD lol.
