PC has trouble starting up...

well this all started yesterday and I don't know why. This month alone, the power in my apartment has gone out two of three times and there was no storm to warn me to shut the computer off. So now when I start up the computer, it will go to the Alienware spash screen and stop, but if I power down and switch the power supply off and back on, it works like a charm. Does anyone know what is going on? good thing im upgrading it in a couple weeks anyway.PC has trouble starting up...

Well that kinda sucks, but im not too worried cus im replacing everything but the dvd drive and the case. I do have a surge protector that everything is plugged into, but I also have about 400 cords for my printer, webcam, speakers, tv tuner, external hdd and so on. I guess I have more of a reason to upgrade it.
I kick my old computer if it doesnt want to work...try that.

On my old AMD K6 comp I opened it wile it was running and took the HDD out and broke it... it started beeping alot so I threw a brick at the mobo and it stopped... I wonder why?
