Vista hangs at loading bar

I installed nothing new, didn't change any hardware, there are no discs in the drives, no usb other than keyboard and mouse plugged in, just turned it off last night, and when it went to start up this morning it hangs at the looping green bar forever. Help.Vista hangs at loading bar
Are you able to pass it through ''Safe Mode''?Vista hangs at loading bar
Turn it off and try again :
|do abunch of virus scans and mabe defrag hdd if it happens again.
I can't get it through safe mode, it hangs at crcdisk.sys, so therefore I can't defrag or run virus scans.

Help.[/QUOTE] I had this happen becuase I had a memory card in my built in card reader. I was getting mad because it wasn't working, but finally I realized what it was. I don't know if it'll help you, but it's worth a shot!

It's on my desktop, which unfortunately doesn't have a card reader, though I did transfer files from my USB drive, left it plugged in when I turned off the pc, and then unplugged it after I attempted to turn on the computer and it didn't work. That's the only thing I've done different than every other day, so I'm very confused. Actually, I did change the LED pattern on my MOBO in the bios the night before it stopped working, but since then I've changed it back and it didn't seem to be the culprit, as I didn't access any other parts of the Bios. Helllp meee.
