AMD or Intel

I need help shopping for a cpu. The AMD X2 6000+ is only $170 on newegg, and it is high on the cpu carts on tomshardware.com. Although the $185 Intel Core 2 Duo E6400 can overclock higher than that. My trouble is this. How long will the E6400 would last if I kept it bellow 60 degrees Celsius and @ 2.8Ghz? I want my new system to last for at least four years, even if it is really out-dated.Thanks.AMD or Intel

Throw a quad core in if ya want when phenoms come out.AMD or Intel

I can't tell you my current rig for self-esteem reasons. :)Although, I love your idea. A 5600+ would do me great until the phenom comes out.
