Quad core is toaly pointless for now. Nothing supports it.

an overclocked e6600 can beat most overclocked q6600 in gaming only.
good price i would prob get it if i was looking for a new comp...if you rlly need a new comp and the the money to get it...i say get it nice find btw
an overclocked e6600 can beat most overclocked q6600 in gaming only.
Is that since only 2/4 cores will be used in gaming on a quad core PC???and whats the clock speed on that E 6600 2.4 Ghz. If I recall correctly that FSB was 1066 as with the quad core. SO how will it beat the Quad core????My guess is probably even
All intel quads are 1. Fake and 2. Not Needed.. just get a duel core for now

The Q6600 is only $430 on newegg, and the graphics card is only $70 on newegg. Plus the $80 for the RAM, that leaves about $170 for a motherboard, 500GB HDD, and power supply. When you figure how much a HDD costs, it leaves you with very little for the rest, so it is a good deal. Of course, It would cost about the same as a system with a $222 dollor e6600 which is just as good as the q6600. However, if you do not have cds for windows, you could not beat that price because windows 2000 or xp is $190. (assuming the system you listed has an operation system on it)Hope that helps :)Oh, the laptop would not be able to play games for anything unless it is much more expensive than the desktop.

Oh, you will need a new graphics card if you want to realy game on it though. Also, that price is after a $150 instant savings, so keep on that like a dog or you might not save the money.
