Quad or Dual Core. Hm?

Just wondering. Any intelligent opinions? (I'm getting a new computer soon.)Quad or Dual Core. Hm?

Or more importantly, the lifespan of Dual Core as opposed to a Quad Core.

I'm not really big on multitasking aside from running Windows Music player while playing games. I'm just worried Dual Core will be next to useless by next year with games running multiple threads and such.
Crysis supports Quad Core...
Quad. Some game can bottleneck with dual core. If you build a system for 2 or 3 years, let go quad.
