HD 2600 Pro

Is there anything terrible about this card? Its in my price range. I dont want to play Crysis or anything, but I do want to play Half-Life 2 and Battlefield 2142...I`ll upgrade it later, but I dont want to spend to much...since I`ll just upgrade in a few months.HD 2600 Pro
get x1950pro instead. If your option are those 2 games. ;)HD 2600 Pro
What makes that one better? The specs for the 2600 appear to be better.....Or is the 1950 just better for those two games? Or what?
X1950Pro is a great dx9 value card, 2600Pro has dx10 but you will not be able to play in dx10 to much game anyway
So I should just get a DX9 card for now...since I`ll upgrade sometime this fall?

So...you cant use a DX10 card with a DX9 game?
You can use the DX10 card in a DX9 game, you just won't get DX10 technology.
yea you can
Well the mid-end DX10 cards arent too powerfull but supposedly DX10 games are supposed to be more optimized but yes a DX10 card will work with DX9 - 1 games
Dude, even an X1650 XT can outperform the 2600/8600 series.Since you're not looking at DX10, I recommend going for a good DX9 mainstream card (X1650 XT, 7600GT, X1900 GT, X1950 GT and X1950 PRO).

I dont think so... From what ive seen the 8600GTS and HD 2600XT beat the 7600GT and X1650XT

I like this review better,http://xtreview.com/review203.htmIt shows the 8600 performing at about the same level as a 7950 or 1950
Wesker776,trustedreviews? try anandtech or xbitlabs, their reviews show that the 8600GTS kills the X1650XT.

So I should just get the X1650XT for now?
mind that it has no SM 3.0
mind that it has no SM 3.0
