LCD TV as a second monitor resolution question

I just bought a 19'' Philips LCD TV that has a funky widescreen resolution of 1440 x 900 that I cannot select from display properties under control panel because it doesn't show up. It goes from 1280 x 1024 to 1400 x 1050 to 1600 x 1200.I am using it as a second monitor using a vga cable. So I ask how you could force the native resolution of the tv in the computer settings. Thank you.LCD TV as a second monitor resolution question
